The Hwadam Spring Daffodil Festival marks the beginning of spring at Hwadam Botanic Garden in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do Province. The venue is packed with colorful spring flowers like 100,000 yellow daffodils spanning 37 species, cornelian cherry, amur adonis and witch hazel. In the birch forest, for example, yellow daffodils blended in with 2,000 white birch trees create an exotic spring scene.

A docent program allows visitors to experience with all five senses the area's 16 themed gardens and an exhibition features bonsai trees owned by Hwadam.
